At Trinity we care about Roots. We want every Christian to:
- Be anchored in the faith and able to receive nourishment from scripture.
- Be able to articulate what he or she believes, with a personal knowledge of Jesus as the origin or source of faith.
- Be able to encourage other believers, by being willing to learn from and with others and to
walk by faith in the tension of questions not yet answered.
- Be able to lend moral support to others by preserving love and respect for others as we all learn together.
Opportunities to develop Roots at Trinity:
- Participate in a "Disciple" Bible Study. This five year program will leave you solidly anchored in scripture,
knowing your Bible from one end to the other.
- Share the origin of your faith with others, perhaps as a testimony during worship,
or spontaneously during a class or small group gathering.
- Make a commitment to regular worship attendance and participation in Sunday School, small groups or neighborhood tables.
Become a part of a learning community, and encourage that community through your attendance and participation.
- Take time to lend moral support by sending a note, making a phone call, or even visting someone in their home.
Learn to care for your church family by developing relationships with others that you honor
even when differences threaten to divide.
