Our purpose in Community
com.mu.ni.ty....a: a group of people who reside in a specific locality, share government, and
often have a common cultural and historical heritage. b: Joint possession, enjoyment, liability. (belonging)
At Trinity we care about Community. We want every Christian to:
- Have an opportunity to become a member of this congregation, sharing in the leadership and
ministry of this church, and appreciating our common heritage.
- Have a sense of belonging at Trinity, a sense of being accepted and known, with friends to greet,
and a mutual sharing of resources with and responsibility for each other and our world.
Opportunities to develop Community at Trinity:
- Take a new members class. This class will introduce you to our common heritage while you get acquainted with
a group of others who are new to our church.
- Join an adult Sunday School Class, Bible Study, or fellowship opportunity.
Also consider volunteering on the mission committee, helping with Interfaith Family Shelter, or participating in other mission opportunities at Trinity, as you work with this church family to care
for the many needs in the world around us. Any of these things will help you develop a sense of belonging.
