Adult Ministries

Please contact Robin Olschner at 303-422-3656 x15 for more information about any of the opportunities on this page.  Newcomers are always welcome. We hope that every member of our church family will choose at least one opportunity to grow in their faith this coming year!

Sunday Morning Classes beginning January 8th.

Please sign up on the class registration sheets in the Lobby or call Robin Olschner (303-422-3656 x15).  It is very helpful to our teachers to know how many participants to plan for in terms of ordering books and preparing materials.

It is not necessary to sign up for the Exodus class since it is ongoing, but you can join in anytime.  Thanks!

Exodus: The Journey Continues:

Scott Diaz leads this ongoing Bible Study in Room 306 upstairs.  Scott has made extensive study of the Torah as well as Biblical history and scholarship which will add a rich backdrop to this study of the continuing story of God's people in the book of Exodus.  The manual we will be using is A Torah Commentary for our Times, vol. 2: Exodus and Leviticus by Harvey Fields. If you wish to order it, it can be found on Amazon.com for $20 to $25.

Ephesians:

In the Library, Bud Everitt will be leading this five week class. Paul’s
letter to the church at Ephesus explores the very nature of the Church with
Christ as its Head, the qualities and behaviors of maturing followers of Jesus,
and God’s grace.  Join us for great information to help you grow in your Christian walk, as well as lively discussion and fellowship!

The Bible from Scratch: New Testament for Beginners

Hope Green will present a Bible survey class in Room 305 upstairs based on the book by Donald Griggs: The Bible from Scratch. According to a recent survey of churchgoers, 93% wish that they had more Bible knowledge, but often we are a bit shy to ask for more, perhaps because we think that somehow we missed out on information that everyone else already seems to know. No need for that concern here: this class is a great jumping off place to get to know the Bible among friends!  The cost of the book for this class is $10.

Midweek Groups at Trinity

Trinity Seniors

Every Monday from 1:00-3:00 seniors are invited to the church library for our Senior Adult Bible Study.  This group has great book discussions as well as fun fellowship opportunities, and everyone is welcome.  Please contact Yvonne Herbert for more information.

Young Adult Bible Study

If you are out of high school and not yet 30, you will enjoy our Young Adult Group that meets every other week at the home of Jen and Dan Dugan. The group has a Bible Study component and also enjoys get-togethers outside of the study for fun and sharing life together.  For more information, please contact Bill Wilkin.

Grief Support Sessions

Sally Carey, bereavement coordinator from Heartland Hospice, invites you to join her the third Tuesday of each month from 6:00 - 7:30 in our church library. Newcomers and guests are always welcome as Sally introduces topics and shares information and support for the journey through grief.

Women's Circles

Abigail Circle: Women are invited to the church library the second Wednesday of each month from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. for this time of Bible Study and fellowship.

Ruth Circle: Women are invited to the church library the 3rd Thursday of each month from 9:30 - noon for this time of Bible Study and fellowship.

Fellowship Opportunities

Senior Yoga: Bud Currey from Dahn Yoga is teaching yoga on Monday afternoons from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.  These classes are designed especially for seniors and include gentle stretching, breathing, relaxation and stress reduction.  Cost of the class is $5.  This is a great opportunity to feel better inside and out, and it's open to anyone you know may be interested.  Bud is a certified Silver Sneakers instructor and will work with individual abilities.

Monday Fitball: Beginning in September, everyone is invited to join Bob Wolfe on Monday evenings at 7:00 in the church lobby for fitball. The cost is $5.00.

Craft Club: Craft Club began as a way to encourage participants to come fellowship and create greeting cards. Now we have members who scrapbook and knit and crochet, do calligraphy, make cards to be sent to folks on our prayer chain, and just come to visit and enjoy the fellowship.

This group meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month in the church Library from 7-9pm. Just bring whatever you are working on and come join us! Feel free to contact Karlanne Sinkovic at 303-233-5817 or karlanne@comcast.net if you have any questions.
